Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Since 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American families and businesses were able to save $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Every Pella® Product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. What does this mean for you? Not only could you see a drop in your heating and cooling charges, you can help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are each specifically designed and customized for your home, meaning no two projects are alike. Our wide variety of products make it hard to discuss pricing without first understanding your wants and needs and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it mutually beneficially to send out a Pella sales representative who can provide you with a quoted project price once they have seen the project site itself. To accelerate the quoting procedure, your Pella® sales representative is prepared with a computer and a portable printer so that they’ll have all the quote information you’ll need—as soon as the sales representative has been given the opportunity to consider the requirements of the job and matches them with your vision.

In addition to offering a wide range of first-rate products to choose from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you fantastic window and door products at affordable prices, providing you with a chance to make the renovations you want to while building great value into your Woburn area home all the while.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We suggest that you should use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also mix your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Apply the solution to a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not suggest using glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based because they could produce streaks or create a film that magnetizes moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses dependable installers who are certified to install Pella products. They must complete a rigid set of training courses so that your windows and doors are properly installed and meet Pella’s strict warranty standards. We seek out the best Woburn-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Prior to beginning our relationship, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully covered by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your Woburn Pella branch offers services and support that “big box” stores can’t perform. Our staff is made up of professionals whose expertise is in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Working with a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and expert installers means that your project will have the knowledge of our whole team. We frequently use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. If you have any concerns, simply contact our office or your sales representative and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are many reasons why Woburn homeowners pick Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella is a privately owned, professionally managed company founded in 1925. All of our high quality windows and doors are produced with attention to detail and serviced by Pella’s unique Direct Sales Network. Unlike most other window and door companies who sell exclusively through third-party channels, Pella has dedicated windows & door stores the U.S. and Canada. This unique way of doing business gives our customers in Woburn a convenient and personal experience with the assistance of a local to Woburn, Pella-certified team. Whether you are contemplating the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a superior quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
